Community

Community space

From its inception, when local people started raising money to build it, the remit of St George's Hall has been to serve as a unique building for community use.

Today that remit is no different and the Hall is still at the heart of community life in the city. We are proud to offer facilities for local people to explore the Hall, learn about its history and exhibit within it.

The two key ways in which we currently engage with the local community are through:

  • The Grand Jury Room - a purpose built Community art, heritage, and interaction space which provides a platform for communities and schools to display and develop projects.
  • Liverpool’s Community Historian, Steve Binns MBE, who is available for talks on a lively range of subjects relating to the history of Liverpool and St George’s Hall.
